Emote This!

The measurement of Christianity for most is love; God is love so that is the standard. The reality however is the Gospel is the true standard. It is the measurement of love which shows that love serves is not self-serving and in fact sacrificed self for others. That's a far cry from the emotional guilt manipulation foisted by the immature who are themselves emotional slaves. The correct motivation for decisions and life is truth, Christ is the truth! God calls us to reason together. Use your mind and consider the Gospel implications, Christ wears a crown. To deny that is to deny Him and His sacrifices. Would you look into the eyes of this king saying I'm not moved or motivated by you? This is why he will return with a sword and he will not ask how you feel.

Have you ever been accused of being insensitive? That’s not loving, that’s not Christian. You may hurt someone’s feelings.
Will the wages of sin hurt their feelings?   How about hell?  àLook at Ezekiel 9
If we shudder and are confused by this it is because our hearts do not perceive Gods passion for Justice
Our culture is drunk on emotional worship, it’s what we eat and breathe. –That is Idolatry.
Exodus 20:3 “you shall have no other gods before me”
Our God is Love; 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.

Whoever is without sin can throw the first stone-John 8:7
Go and sin no more John 8:11
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.   Psalm 51:17
Your self-righteousness is great rebellion --Our brokenness is loving God and submitting to His Mercy
Psalm 51 – Create in me a clean heart – That is our heart before this great king. Our brokenness for sin is Love for God
