At the Cross

The Cross is the hinge point of history some 2011 years ago. Looking among the darkness of all history this cross stand like a beacon of unfathomable brightness. It demands our attention and brings us to the God of all creation the hope of glory.

It's at the cross where everything makes sense.

We came to the cross as people who are nothing and have nothing to offer.

We bring to the cross our repentance and receive forgiveness.

We come to the cross in the flesh and leave in the Spirit.

We are driven to the cross broken and despairing when we leave

Our soul is dancing and there is great rejoicing.

We come in death and receive life.

We came rejected and now are accepted.

We came as goats and leave as sheep.

We came as tares and leave as wheat.

We come as slaves and receive freedom.

We come lame and now can walk with God.

We come blind and receive sight.

We come in darkness and now walk in light.

We came as harlots and leave as His bride

You go to the cross a sinner and leave a saint!

He came to the garden alone. Gethsemane = olive press

This Garden is not just a small paragraph in the story of Christ.

This Garden is not one small step in the life of our Lord.

No this Garden is where the thrice holy God received the cup that he must drink.

He was separated, not just from his earthly friends but from the God of eternity!

Do you understand? That is something he had never known.

Dear brothers and sisters who caused his shame?

It was your sin! It was my sin!

And with our sin on that blessed dove, on that little lamb

His father turned away!

Because of sin!

You better put your hand on this sacrifice provided by God for there is no other name written under heaven by which we must be saved.

And this the most gentle and precious thing to ever exist carried it to the cross and said for all of eternity

IT-IS-FINISHED!

Who is worthy of the King?

Who is worthy of the king? Who can stand at his throne? Who can say that he is just or righteous? None, not even the most righteous of the earth. For this reason we as the breakers of the great divine law are decreed to be cast in to the lake of eternal fire! As it is about to begin 'wait!' shouts one of authority who's voice is as thunder and hands are iron 'cast me in in their place for it is my father's will that they live and I die, so as to give this people of unrighteousness life that will last eternity, and who will by my spirit glorify my father! Thou I sweat drops of blood and are cast away as the one who has sinned a untold number of times I will for it is my fathers will die in the place of the unrighteous to be the cornerstone of the new world ,and the king who rules . So from hence the devil has no power for I shall crush the head of the serpent and rid him of pleasure! After these words he was slain and forsaken by the king of heaven! His brutally beaten body was laid in a tomb and laid there for a couple days, but on the third, he rose again to proclaim victory over the devil and slayed his pride! So who is worthy to stand at the throne of God and say I am righteous? None, but as the devil stands and throw's your sins in your face Jesus stands up and shouts 'look at my hands… look at my side… my blood has covered the iniquity of this Man! Then God say's in a voice of great power this Man is clean'!
